What the Popes Really Say About Socialism

Voting--Do you vote for poor or babies?

If you know that an unborn fetus is truly a person, a baby, who has a beating heart, then why do you put your own fears ahead of these little innocents?

Even if you thought a republican could jeopardize your job, your pay, your house and the houses of many thousands of others, is all that worth the life of innocent babies?

If I said to you, "Slavery is just a fact of life.  Get over it.  I'd rather vote for a man who is pro-slavery than risk what might happen to the economy and to the poor," you'd think I was a nut.  You know slavery is so bad that you couldn't vote for anyone who is pro-slavery; so why do you willingly vote for a candidate who is pro-choice?  Isn't the killing of innocent helpless people much worse than enslavement of innocent people?

Think about it.  Are your own worries more important than babies' lives?
Vote Pro-Life First.  Everything else is secondary.
When you die and have to answer to God about how you helped to build His kingdom, do you really want to say that you supported the poor and the lower classes by voting for candidates who helped them?  How do you think Jesus will react?  What will you say when Jesus shows you all the innocent blood that was shed because of the candidates you voted for?  What is more heroic--saving lives of millions or helping the poor?

Pope Leo XIII

St. Gregory the Great, whom no one has more admirably described the pastoral office, writes in the same sense: "Those," he says, "who are zealous in the work of preaching must never cease the study of the written word of God."(20) St. Augustine, however, warns us that "vainly does the preacher utter the Word of God exteriorly unless he listens to it interiorly;"(21) and St. Gregory instructs sacred orators "first to find in Holy Scripture the knowledge of themselves, and then to carry it to others, lest in reproving others they forget themselves."(22)

Our Lady of Medugorje Message

Message, 25. January 2011

"Dear children! Also today I am with you and I am looking at you and blessing you, and I am not losing hope that this world will change for the good and that peace will reign in the hearts of men. Joy will begin to reign in the world because you have opened yourselves to my call and to God's love. The Holy Spirit is changing a multitude of those who have said 'yes'. Therefore I desire to say to you: thank you for having responded to my call."

Quote from "Spiritual Theology"

Persevere to the end. Victory depends on this. There is a swift and effective remedy for the wounds of anyone who fights for God's cause and who places his entire trust in Him. When he least expects it, he will see his enemy at his feet.

Repeal the Health Care Law

Dear Friend of CatholicVote, repeal it!

The tables have turned.

As you read this message, our representatives in Washington are preparing to vote on a repeal of President Obama's health care law.

We fully support the effort to repeal this disastrous law.

The House is expected to pass the repeal bill tonight. Once passed, the bill will be sent to the Democratic-controlled Senate, where Majority Leader Reid has vowed to block any vote on the bill. But if the health care law were truly popular, what is Senator Reid afraid of?

To force a Senate vote on repeal and new changes to our health care laws, we need to put pressure on several vulnerable Democrats in the Senate.

Will you help us get on the air in Pennsylvania and Nebraska to put public pressure on Senators Bob Casey and Ben Nelson?

Chip in $10 now to get radio ads up in these two states.

These two Senators claim to be pro-life, but both voted for the pro-abortion health care law. We can't let them duck this critical vote!

Both of these Senators will be key votes on any effort to repeal or replace Obamacare in the coming weeks. And both are up for re-election in 2012.

This wildly unpopular health care law is exactly what is wrong in Washington. The massive new law is filled with new spending, mandates, and taxes, including loopholes that would allow taxpayer funding for abortion, and threats to conscience and the future of faith-based private health care. It must be repealed, de-funded, or stripped of every threat to liberty, conscience, and life.

That's why we have to keep up the pressure.

Elections have consequences, and a key number of swing votes in the Senate are up for re-election in only 22 months! In fact, just yesterday, two Senators already announced they plan to retire rather than face the voters in 2012.

We can't guarantee that the Senate will hold a repeal vote this year. But we can ensure that these Senators hear from the Catholic vote.

The change we voted for in November is underway. Now let's make it happen.

Sincerely,

- Brian, Josh, Kara, Thomas, Pat, and the rest of your CV Team

P.S. Moments ago, Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen (Tenn.) compared voters like us to Nazis on the House floor. He claimed opposition to the health care law was akin to Nazi propaganda. We won't be intimidated by such lies and slander. Click here to chip in.
